Established in 1992, the German Alpine Association (DAV) Berchtesgaden Section opened the very first DAV climbing center in Germany, laying the cornerstone for the rapid growth of climbing as a sport throughout the country.

Since then, the section has continuously modernized and expanded the climbing center. Today, it boasts two climbing halls, numerous bouldering rooms and an outdoor climbing wall, providing a total of approximately 2,000 m² of climbing and bouldering areas. The facility features 100 climbing safety lines with 175 to 200 climbing routes spanning 1,625 m² of lead walls.

Today, the DAV Alpine Climbing Center in the Berchtesgaden Section stands as one of the largest facilities in southeast Germany and neighboring Austria.
Our outdoor climbing wall offers a breathtaking panorama of mountain peaks, from `Hoher Göll' to 'Hochkalter,' providing climbers with a truly immersive experience in nature.
We continuously update our climbing and bouldering routes, ensuring there's always something new to explore. Additionally, we offer a variety of training options and climbing-specific amenities to enhance your experience.

Come and be inspired - pay us a visit!
